As we all know proteins are the building blocks of our muscle and our body needs different amino acids found in protein for muscle growth and maintenance, we need protein in almost each and every meal we eat. For a normal person 1gm of protein per kilogram of bodyweight is really essential for maintaining the muscle and for those who do intense workout and want to put on some muscle should take about 1.5 to 2 gm of protein per kilogram of body weight or many nutritionist in the west suggest 1gm of protein per pound of body weight for those wo are active through the day and do a lot of weight training like professional bodybuilders.

So as we grow old if we do not take protein in proper amount our body starts to lose muscle and this makes the body weak which is not ideal for any healthy human being.We should also consider this fact that if we don’t provide our body with proper amount of protein then our body starts breaking those muscles which are not active and starts building those muscles which are really active. And as a result only those active muscles grow and the rest starts getting smaller which is also not ideal.So if someone is not getting enough protein through outlr deit such as chicken, fishermen, eggs, paneer, tofu, seafood, lentils, etc., which most of us don’t get, there should be some source of protein which fulfills our daily requirement of protein.

And here whey protein supplements come into play. You should consider this as an option because these are perfectly natural products made from milk. But be aware there are a lot of companies out in the market that sell garbage. So you should do your research when you decide to buy these supplement.
